Then I wonder where those from our pasts and futures fit into the grand scheme of it all? If time is crawling for us all, and warped for some as we know it... I wonder what will happen when the strings behind Mayfield are finally plucked and the 'timelines' go back to their original pattern. Whatever that is. I'm not about to ponder space/time physics...
