Hello again, Mayfield. I've been noticing plenty of new faces around town as of late. Plenty of people with plenty of questions.

Every question has an answer, friends---I can guarantee you that. And I, Edward Nigma, can help you find all of these answers. And more. Now, I'm sure I can already predict the next question that's on your minds right now. "What's the catch?" Answer: I I'll be needing your help with a little summer project of mine. Here's your first clue as to what it might be.

What am I?

[It's just after finishing up with this little phone call that he gets his first good look at the calendar. Father's Day. Not exactly Edward's favorite day by any means, given his own relationship with his old man. Needless to say, his mood's been a little bit soured.

Throughout the rest of this lovely day, you're likely to run into the Riddler...

A: In the Backyard of 726 Anderson, sketching something out into a notebook.

B: Out for a drive in the Riddler-Mobile, to try and relax.

C: At Jonathan's Tools, loading up plenty of tools and building supplies into the back of his car.

[When Edgar arrives, he's likely to run into a man dressed in green, leaning against the wall just outside. In one of his hands rests a golden cane, topped with a hilt shaped like a question-mark. Eddie doesn't know what Edgar looks like either, but he knows what to look for. For not only does a river have mouths, beds, and banks. It also has fish. And someone so unfamiliar with the area? A fish out of water.

Tipping up the brim of his hat with the hilt of his cane, he calls out.]

Mr. Figaro, I presume?

[It doesn't particularly surprise him that he was spotted first - whoever this Edward person is, he's certainly clever. Edgar turns to greet him.]

Which would make you Mr. Nigma, unless I miss my guess.

[But there's no doubting it, what with the cane. It's rather on the obvious side, given the propensity for riddles.]

It would. [He smirks.] Glad that you could make it.

An interesting way to make an invitation, I must admit.

Call it curiosity. I had to see if you were capable of keeping up.

It wasn't exactly easy, though that might have had more to do with living in a desert my entire life. Rivers aren't exactly a common occurrence.

Oh?

[In a more conspiratorial tone.]

From the sound of it, though, it appears as though resistance operations are a common occurrence for you. Let's talk.

[Matching his tone, more or less.]

I've played my part in such in the past. You intend to mount a resistance of sorts in an attempt to free us from this place?

Good attitude.

[Have a reassuring hand on his shoulder.]

Maybe someone will regain some and we can steal it.

...Under ground?

[But Edward, that'd change the soil. Damage the Ecosystem. Would not allow new plants to grow. Not to mention all the plants they'd be hurting and killing and-]

...That is... such a clever idea, Nigma.

Isn't it, though? I knew you'd see my genius soon enough, Pam.

Of course, always a pleasure.

[Lex frowns. He is sick and tired of all the bald jokes being thrown at his direction.]

Just what I wanted to hear.

This way though, we can move forward with our plans for The Legion.

I do, indeed. I've already managed to assemble a small group, you see.

As a matter of fact, I had been meaning to speak with you about the Legion. Question: What is it our organization needs the most right now?

But you still need a physical base, if I understand correctly.

Exactly. Thus far, we've been able to hold two successful meetings at two separate locations. While we've been able to convene with little difficulty in either of these locations, the opportunity to build something a bit more permanent is growing all the more appealing.

We'll be monitoring Mayfield. Right under their noses.

Hmm? I haven't really considered anything in particular.
